Struktur Cagar Budaya

Selokan Mataram is a waterway constructed to improve agriculture in Yogyakarta, originating from the Terowongan Bligo Outlet.

The canal is approximately 31 kilometers long and connects the Progo River in the west with the Opak River in the east. The canal passes through three districts: Sleman Regency, Bantul Regency and Yogyakarta, and has a total catchment area of approximately 26,000 hectares. Selokan Mataram is fed via the Kambiwolu underground canal, also known as the Bligo Tunnel. Along the canal you will find many irrigation systems, beautiful bridges and other interesting objects, such as Hulu Selokan Van der Wijck.

The new toll road is currently being constructed over sections of Selokan Mataram.
