Bekas Wesel Eks Stasiun Winongo in Dusun Glondong, Bantul, is one of those quiet leftovers from the historical Yogyakarta-Srandakan-Sewugalur railway line.
Stasiun Winongo was never a big passenger station, but it did play a practical role: a small marshalling point where trains could switch 3 tracks, wait, or be rearranged before heading south toward Bantul.
Today, the area feels more like a regular neighborhood corner than a railway site, but if you look closely you’ll spot hints of its past: the alignment of the ground, old foundations, and the space where the wesel (switch) once guided trains onto different tracks.
