Bekas Rumah Dinas Stasiun Sedayu, the former official residence (2 buildings) for the long-demolished Sedayu Railway Station, is located in Gubug, Sedayu, Bantul Regency.
Built around 1887 by the Dutch Staatsspoorwegen, it is the absolute last piece of history left from the old station line. It is a classic example of “Indies” style. Because of its historical value, it was officially designated as a protected cultural heritage site in 2018. Today, the buildings are heavily overgrown with wild vegetation, covered in graffiti, and have a distinctly spooky vibe.
There is a third ruined building at this location.
Read more about it on the dedicated page about Djawatan Kereta Api (DKA).
