Kebun Buah Mangunan

Kebun Buah Mangunan, embedded in the highlands of Imogiri, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, is one of Yogyakarta’s most beloved nature attractions.

Established in 2003, this fruit garden was developed by the local government to cultivate tropical fruits such as starfruit, rambutan, mango, and durian. Today, it has grown into a popular tourist destination not only for its orchards but also for its panoramic views overlooking the Oyo River Valley.

Located about 200 meters above sea level, the garden is often described as a “negeri di atas awan” or “land above the clouds,” thanks to the enchanting morning mist that blankets the hills. Visitors flock here to enjoy the romantic sunrise, capture stunning photographs, and breathe in the crisp mountain air. Beyond its natural beauty, Kebun Buah Mangunan is strategically situated near other attractions such as Bukit Panguk Kediwung and Bukit Mojo Gumelem, making it an ideal stop in a Bantul travel itinerary.
