Embung Nglanggeran (Nglanggeran Reservoir) is a tourist spot located in the Gunung Kidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.
This reservoir is located on a hill called Mount Gandu, with a height of 495 meters above sea level. This reservoir functions as a rainwater reservoir which is used to irrigate the surrounding fruit plantations. Nglanggeran Embung offers beautiful natural views, especially at sunset. From here, we can see the towering cliffs of the Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano (Kawasan Ekowisata Gunung Api Purba).
Nglanggeran Embung is also one of the favorite destinations for photography lovers and tourists who want to enjoy a calm and cool atmosphere.
