Embung Batara Sriten, hidden high in the hills of Gunungkidul, feels like one of those places you only discover when you’re willing to wander a little off the usual path. To reach Batara Sriten, you follow a beautiful winding road that snakes its way up the hillside. It’s the kind of road that makes you slow down, not because you have to, but because you want to.
