Panggung Krapyak is a historical building in Yogyakarta, built by Sultan Hamengku Buwono I in 1760 as a hunting and scouting place.
This building is in the shape of a cube with dimensions of 17.6 m x 15 m and a height of 10 m. Each side of the building has a door and two windows which are closed with an iron fence. This building consists of two floors, with the top floor being an open room bordered by a fence. Panggung Krapyak is included in the imaginary line of Yogyakarta that connects Mount Merapi, Tugu Jogja, Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace, and Parangtritis Beach.
Panggung Krapyak is a silent witness to the history of the Mataram Kingdom and the City of Yogyakarta which is more than two centuries old.
