Bank Indonesia Yogyakarta is located right next to the iconic Titik Nol Kilometer and Fort Vredeburg in the heart of historical Yogyakarta.
This unique spot is actually a tale of two eras sitting side by side. On the west side, you will find the gorgeous, white neo-classical heritage building from 1879. It started out as De Javasche Bank during the Dutch colonial era and is now a protected historical monument. Right next door sits the newer modern wing built in 1993, which handles the high-security central banking and economic strategy for the region.
It even houses a neat museum and digital library inside, and the exterior looks absolutely stunning when it lights up at night.
