Eks Jembatan Lori PG Madukismo, located in Bantul is a highly photogenic, though slightly tricky to reach, slice of industrial history spanning the Bedog River.
Here sit two rusting, permanently closed rail bridges side-by-side. While the famous Jembatan Kreteg Abang Madukismo holds a proud, officially registered Cagar Budaya heritage status, its narrow sibling right next to it, the Eks Jembatan Lori PG Madukismo, does not. Built strictly as an industrial extension track to haul sugarcane, this second bridge has been left as a raw, unprotected ruin fading into nature.
Though it lacks an individual heritage title, it is legally protected from being demolished because it sits right inside the main heritage zone.
