Monumen Ngejaman Keben (also known as Tugu Jam Keben) is a historic clock tower, right by the entrance of the Kraton in Yogyakarta.
Built in August 1936, this historic clock tower was a special gift from the local Chinese (Tionghoa) community, merchants, and palace servants to Sultan Hamengkubuwana VIII. It stands as a beautiful symbol of harmony and cultural unity in Yogya. What makes it truly unique is its base, which features inscriptions in four languages: Javanese, Indonesian, Chinese and English. Today, the monument is officially protected as a Cagar Budaya (Cultural Heritage object) and sits within the UNESCO World Heritage buffer zone.
