Jembatan Penyeberangan Orang (JPO) Jogoyudan, located in Wates, Kulon Progo, is a brand new (Dec. 2025) vibrant pedestrian bridge.
Spanning 47.5 meters long right over the active train tracks, this bridge safely connects the residential neighborhoods in the south directly to the bustling Alun-Alun Wates, local markets, and public offices in the north.
But it is not just a practical shortcut, it has quickly turned into a favorite local hangout and a prime photo spot! Day or night, people head up here to catch a breezy view of the Wates skyline or watch the trains glide right beneath them into Wates Station.
It is fully lit, monitored by CCTV for safety, and has a strictly enforced capacity limit of 50 people at a time to keep things safe and comfortable.
