Stasiun Sentolo, located in Sentolo, Kulon Progo, is a charming Class III small station, that sits comfortably at +54 meters above sea level and is managed by KAI Yogyakarta.
While you can’t buy a ticket or board a train here today, it currently operates strictly as a crossing and block control point, it holds a massive piece of local history. Built back in the Dutch colonial era under the Staatsspoorwegen network, the station is an officially recognized Cultural Heritage Building (Bangunan Cagar Budaya) that once fueled the region’s old military and sugar industries.
It’s a quiet piece of history today, but definitely a spot to watch for the future!
