Kawasan Goa Jepang

Japanese Bunkers Area
Struktur Cagar Budaya

Kawasan Goa Jepang is tucked away in the hills of Pundong, Bantul.

Built during World War II, this hill-top complex features around twenty interconnected concrete bunkers that the Japanese military used as a coastal defense fortress to watch over the ocean. The absolute best part about this historic site is its incredible elevation. Because the bunkers sit high up on the hillsides, you get an absolutely insane panoramic view of the coastline

If you climb up to Puncak Kahyangan, you will be rewarded with an unobstructed view of Parangtritis and Depok beaches meeting the Indian Ocean, making it one of the coolest and least-crowded spots around Jogja to catch a sunset.
