Gereja Katolik Santo Yakobus Alfeus (St. James Alfeus Catholic Church, Pajangan) is a church located in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. This church was founded in 1998 and blessed by the Archbishop of Semarang Mgr. Ignatius Suharyo in 2000. This church has a jumbo statue of “The Mercy Face of Jesus” which stands firmly in the front yard. This statue was inaugurated in 2016 by the Regent of Bantul Drs. H. Suharsono and blessed by the Parish Pastor of St. James Bantul Father FX. Suhanto, Pr. This statue is an icon and attraction for Catholics and tourists who want to pray and take selfies.
