Jembatan Sapon (Sapon Bridge) is a bridge above the Sapon Dam, a weir that dams the flow of the Progo River in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. This bridge functions as an alternative crossing for pedestrians and two-wheeled vehicles who want to go to the area across the river without having to make a long detour. This bridge is also a tourist attraction for visitors who want to enjoy the natural scenery and the sound of roaring water from the dam. This weir is 153 meters long and can accommodate a 100-year repeat flood of 2,520 m3/second. This weir also plays an important role in providing water for irrigation purposes in three sub-districts in Kulon Progo, namely Panjatan, Galur, and Temon. This site is also known as Bendung Sapon.
