Jembatan Irigasi Sedayu

Jembatan Irigasi Sedayu (Sedayu Irrigation Bridge) is one of the bridges from the Dutch East Indies which is on the Sedayu-Sojomerto-Curug Sewu route, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. This bridge was built in 1915 by the Dutch railway company (Staats Spoorwegen) to channel irrigation water from the Serayu River to sugar cane farming land around the Sedayu Sugar Factory, which was closed around 1930. This bridge has a high and sturdy arch shape, and is still functioning today. This bridge is also one of the historical and cultural tourist attractions in the area.
