Jembatan Gantung Krinjing

Located on the slopes of Gunung Merapi Jembatan Gantung Krinjing (Krinjing Suspension Bridge) is one of many suspension bridges that have been built in Indonesia to improve connectivity between villages and facilitate access for residents. With a length of 90 meters, this bridge connects Jombong Hamlet in Paten Village with Gandelan Hamlet in Krinjing Village, which are separated by the Kepil River. This bridge not only shortens travel time for local residents but also increases their safety when crossing the river, especially during the rainy season when river currents become stronger and more dangerous. Officially opened on September 18 2017, the Krinjing Suspension Bridge has become a symbol of infrastructure progress in rural areas and the government’s efforts to reduce the isolation of remote villages. This bridge is only accessible by bycicle, motor and pedestrians.
