Jembatan Bantar Lama

Jembatan Bantar Lama (the old Bantar Bridge) is a suspension bridge that crosses the Progo River in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. This bridge was built by the Dutch colonial government in 1929 under the name Gouverneur Jasperbrug, and is one of the monumental suspension bridges in Indonesia. This bridge has a total length of 176 meters, a width of 5 meters, and a height of 25 meters above the river level. Currently, this bridge is no longer used for traffic, but has been designated as a cultural heritage and historical monument.
