Grojogan Watu Purbo is located at Merdikorejo Village, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, and is one of the interesting natural tourist destinations. This place has a six-tiered waterfall originating from the Krasak River and Bebeng River. This waterfall is actually a structure to retain cold lava which was built in 1975 to anticipate the impact of the eruption of Mount Merapi. However, over time, this place has become popular as an Instagrammable photo spot because of its natural beauty. From here, we can also see the majestic view of Mount Merapi. In the immediate vicinity you will find two other dams: Sabo Dam Nglumut and Dam Kali Krasak Kembang.
