Embung Kleco (Kleco Reservoir) is an artificial reservoir located in Ngesong Village, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, and serves as a water resource for the agriculture. This serene tourist site offers a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere due to the pure fresh air of the highland. Kleco Reservoir features various natural beauties. Visitors can enjoy a vast landscape with trees and hilly areas, perfect for photography and sightseeing. Mount Merapi is also visible from this location. To get the best scenery, it’s recommended to visit in the morning or during nice weather before sunset. While Embung Kleco lacks food vendors and facilities on-site, visitors can bring their own food and drinks for a family recreation by the reservoir.
