Embung Canggal (Canggal Embung) is a reservoir located in Canggal Village, Samigaluh District, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. This reservoir was built in 2016 as an effort to overcome drought in the region. The Canggal Reservoir has an area of around 1.5 hectares and can hold up to 50,000 cubic meters of water. This reservoir is also an attractive tourist spot for local people and visitors from outside the area. Embung Canggal has beautiful views with a backdrop of Mount Menoreh and green hills. Canggal Embung is one of the reservoirs in Kulon Progo which has its own charm.
