Candi Mendut (Mendut Temple) is a Buddhist temple, located in Mendut Village, Magelang Regency, Central Java, and is built in the 9th century by King Indra from the Syailendra dynasty. This temple has a height of 26.4 meters and faces northwest. The temple has a three-story roof decorated with small stupas. Candi Mendut, Candi Borobudur and Candi Pawon are three Buddhist temples, connected by a symbolic straight line and only a few kilometers apart. Together they form a Buddhist temple complex.
