Ketep Pass

Ketep Pass is a mountain pass in the Magelang Regency, Central Java, that connects the cities of Magelang and Surakarta. The pass is located at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level and offers scenic views of the surrounding volcanoes, such as Mount Merapi, Mount Merbabu, and Mount Sumbing. Ketep Pass is also home to the Ketep Volcano Theater, a museum and observatory that showcases the history and activity of the volcanoes in the region. Visitors can watch documentaries, see volcanic rocks and fossils, and observe the volcanoes through telescopes. Ketep Pass is about 45 km from Yogyakarta and can be reached by car of motor cycle.
