Pantai Parangtritis (Parangtritis Beach) is one of the famous tourist destinations in Yogyakarta, located in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, about 27 km from the city center. This beach has black sand, big waves, and sand mountains called gumuk. This beach also has romantic sunset views and lots of facilities for fun, such as ATVs, bendi and swimming pools, and many food stalls. From Parangtritis Beach you can also easily visit the adjacent beach of Parangkusumo or Depok Beach.
